Projects
These are some of the projects I´m working on at the moment, feel free to enquire about any electronics-related projects you would like me to consider. All of these units are custom built and changes to the original specifications will be considered.
SMS Controller & Alerter - A product that will control any type of equipment via SMS messages and inform you of any change of state via SMS. Ideal for controlling equipment remotely and get warnings sent immediately via SMS. Useful for any situation where a landline is not available. Turn on/off equipment with your mobile phone, and get a text message if there are any problems.
Telephone remote resetter - An intelligent telephone resetter which is available in a variety of options, a four channel and an eight channel version, and both of these are available in a landline or GSM version. It offers enhanced security by making you enter a password before giving you access to control the 4/8 relay terminals. This unit can be used for resetting or turning on/off remote equipment. Originally designed for resetting remote computers. A software client (PC must have modem) is available upon request to send strings of commands to the remote unit.
Silence Detector Software - Silence Detector software for radio, TV or in fact any other situation where you need to detect a silence. Will run on any Windows based PC and will alert you via Email, SMS and open/close relays via the parallel port. Very configurable.
Multi-purpose software controller - Software originally developed for radio to control (manually or via schedules) any type of equipment or channel switching. The software runs on any PC and connects to an external piece of hardware that controls anything connected to it, from audio channels to mains powered devices. Can also work over networks if required. The client based software can be customised if required.
Time Synchroniser - Need to keep your PC's time correct? Then this very simple 'light' piece of software is just for you! This software allows you to update the time on your PC as often as you wish, every minute (not recommended!), hour, day, week, month. You can also update manually via the softwares GUI.
Wireless Reverb/Echo pedal - A few local artists asked if it would be possible to construct a remote controlled device that could turn on/off reverb/echo units without the need to go back to the mixing desks/stage every time a song finished. The final product consisted of a few different models, one is a wireless pedal and the second one is a pocket remote control. the device connects to your existing mixing desk/reverb unit and mutes/unmutes the effects immediately.
