OK, this is the bit
where I talk about myself...
Originally from Bangor, in Wales, my
parents decided to move to Tenerife (Spain) in 1982 (when
I was 9) and
have been here ever since.
First went into business in 1992
launching Omega Electronics, a Hi-Fi, Video and
Satellite repair centre. In 1995, launched
Power FM, an
English speaking radio station in Tenerife, sold in
2006. In 2000 launched
Easyweb Communications, an
Internet design and hosting company and in 2005,
launched
Canaries Wireless, a wireless Internet service
provider.
Have been working until
recently (13th May 2008) at
Power FM radio and
Pure Gold Radio in the
Canary
Islands (Spain) employed as Station Manager and
Technical Director, I look after
the day to day running of the station and all the
technical aspects of the stations IT network,
transmission sites and
regional studios in Tenerife, Lanzarote and Gran Canaria
(Spain).
Currently heading back to the UK to
start work as broadcast engineer for the largest
broadcast group in the UK.
I take
a keen interest in all things Technical
(repairs, maintenance, circuit design, projects),
Broadcast (FM, TV, microwave, Wi-Fi),
Computers (hardware, software,
upgrades, builds), Wireless technology,
Programming (VB, scripting),
etc...
When I'm not busy at work I like to
spend time with my son, Joshua who is nearly 3 and a handful!
Am currently working on
cracking the 'Phase Shift Capacitor'
More soon!
